THE PRESIDENT'S XI - THE LEGENDS

THE PRESIDENT'S XI
CRICKET CLUB

DAVID DOYLE

WYNYARD

DAVID DOYLE

One of the Presidents' most gifted players - scoring over 200 runs in 1988, leading the runmakers with 183 in 1989 and again with 157 (in just six matches) in 1990. A useful bowler too - taking 4-18 in one of our biggest wins in 1989 - and fifteen wickets in all at 9.73 in that year. And he could fill in keeping wicket when required.

He played one game of cricket post the President's X1 days and heading to New Zealand. Playing for Victoria University in Wellington, he scored 103 not out, and took 5 for 18. That seemed like a good time to hang up the boots for a new love, Triathlon. After completing numerous olympic distance events and a half ironman, injury has reduced him to golf and cabinetmaking..
