WON BY TEN WICKETS
The plain and simple figures of our only ten-wicket win. The Spinners won the toss and elected to bat. Prakash took the new ball and was virtually unplayable. Four wickets in thirteen balls and the result was almost beyond doubt. From the other end Ravi Muthiah gave nothing away and picked up a couple of wickets himself. Ed Lake, Praba Thangarajah and Carey Ollerenshaw joined in with a will - all snatching wickets for themselves before it was too late. The Spinners all out for 41 - just four boundaries conceded in nearly twenty overs. Ed Lake and Clive Lewis came out to reply for the Presidents - and strolled home at exactly a run a ball. Ed (in his only appearance of the season) hit four fours in his unbeaten twenty-six and Clive, with less of the bowling, two in his tidy fourteen. The four bowlers used made no impression - the Presidents home and dry without a wicket down.
