Haydons Road - and the Presidents to bat first. Laurence and Praba race to 32-0 off the first five overs. But Bush strikes twice in two balls to even things up. Prakash sees himself in with three dot-balls - and then hits four fours off the next five balls he faces. After ten overs it's 65-2. We wobble at the half-way stage - 86-2 becomes 90-5 - but Clive Lewis picks up the reins and shares in productive partnerships for the next few wickets - twenty-eight for the sixth wicket - twenty for the seventh - twenty-eight again with Guy for the eighth. Well played chaps - our best score against Salix for some years. The Salix special correspondent once again likes the tea - "samosas and Early Grey". Time to bowl - and do we? Oh do we? One of the best all-round performances our attack has ever put together - Prakash three maidens in five overs - Praba three wickets - just eight runs conceded by Ravi - and then Carey on fire - four wickets for four runs in just twelve balls.
