LOST BY SIX WICKETS

The Presidents looking a little thin and a bit makeshift for the final game of the summer - but we commence with a new opening partnership of Dave Burton and Chris Foster. The latter departs to the first ball of the second over - and it's a slow start. The skipper is bowled in the tenth over - and the score stands at only 28. But we rally. A stand of sixty-two for the third wicket before Burton is bowled for a battling 26. Clive Lewis and Laurence Bruggemann take us on with a stand of forty-six, but a spell of six overs for just six runs from Patel pegs us back. In the end a decent score of 150 - but with a lack of regular bowlers, can we defend it?

The opposition rattle up an opening partnership of eight-nine in just fifteen overs - no we can't. A delightful spell of 3-21 from Praba holds up the inevitable - but in the end Streatham and Marlborough have nine overs to spare. Valiant - but not enough.
